HOW TO ENTER

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

To enter the contest, go to www.disneyxd.ca and click on the "Disney XD Drops In" icon displayed in the WIN section of the website to access the contest microsite.  Once you have opened the contest microsite, click on the ENTER button to access the standard contest entry form. Fill out the entry form by entering your full name, mailing address including postal code, age, phone number and e-mail address and submit.   A completed on-line entry form will constitute one (1) entry into the Contest.  The contest runs from 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) December 20, 2011 to 10:00 a.m. ET May 31, 2012 (‘the Contest Period’).

BONUS ENTRIES: Each Contest entrant is entitled to an additional ONE (1) bonus entry per day, during the Contest Period. Each Contest entrant may obtain One (1) bonus entry by attending one of the Canadian Shield Events listed below, to obtain a free Disney XD sticker at the event and entering the valid secret code number on the back of the sticker.)

  • Vancouver, BC – Mt. Seymour: February 17-19, 2011
  • Calgary, AB –  Olympic Park: February 24-26, 2011

An entrant under the age of majority in his/her province of residence must have a parent or legal guardian consent to his/her participation. Proof of identification and parental consent must be provided upon request.  If a parent or legal guardian does not provide consent, or if satisfactory proof of identification to confirm the winner’s (or the winner’s parent, or legal guardian’s) identity and personal information provided in connection with the contest, including but not limited to, the winner’s (or the winner’s parent, or legal guardian’s) name, mailing address, and email address, can not be obtained, the entry will be disqualified. The contact information collected by Family Channel Inc. (“DISNEY XD”) with your entry will only be used to award the contest prizes.  Disney XD will not use this personal information for any other reason and will not otherwise disclose this personal information to any other party.

If you do not have access to the Internet but would like to participate, you can enter the contest by sending us your full name, telephone number, province of residence, and age by mail. All Contest entries, whether received online, or by regular mail, are eligible for a Grand prize. 

ELIGIBILITY

The contest is open to permanent lawful residents of Canada only, excluding residents of the province of Quebec, employees, representatives, and agents (and their immediate Disney XD members or persons with whom they are domiciled) of DISNEY XD, (DISNEY XD is also referred to as the "Sponsors") their affiliates and their respective advertising and promotional agencies involved in this contest.  This Contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial, and Municipal laws and regulations.  Void where prohibited by law.  Disney XD.

Entries must be received by post or e-mail no later than 10:00 AM ET on May 31, 2012.  DISNEY XD takes no responsibility for entries that are lost, misdirected, delayed, or received after the contest deadline. Limit one (1) regular entry, and one (1) bonus entry, per person, per day, in addition to a limit of four (4) entries from the same household per day. Only one e-mail address and account may be used by any person to enter the Contest.  In the event that DISNEY XD receives more than one (1) entry per person, per day, or more than four (4) regular entries, and four (4) bonus entries from the same household, per day, DISNEY XD reserves the right to void and destroy any entries from that entrant and/or household, and that entrant/household may, at the discretion of the Sponsors, be disqualified from the Contest.  Should it be discovered that an entrant is using the aid of computer programs to auto-fill entries, that entrant will be immediately disqualified from the Contest.  Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify all such contestant from future contests conducted by the Sponsors without further notice.  By submitting an entry, entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and regulations.

The Contest is open to all individual residents of Canada except residents of Quebec.

In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be deemed to be made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address at the time of entry.  The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet service provider or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the e-mail address in question.

PRIZES

Random monthly draws will be held at or around 12:00 PM ET on February 1st, 2011, March 1, 2011, April 1, 2011, May 1, 2011 and June 1, 2011 at DISNEY XD’s Toronto office located at 181 Bay Street.

There will be FIVE (5) Grand Prize draws during the Contest Period, to fulfill this contest. The chances of being selected to win a prize in this contest depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

The combined approximate retail value of the FIVE (5) Grand Prize draws is $6,000.  All amounts are in Canadian dollars. 

All elibigle entries received during the Contest Period, will remain in the pool of entries for subsequent monthly draws.  There is a limit of one prize per person, per household.  An entrant selected as a winner, will not be eligible to win any other subsequent monthly prizes in connection with this contest.
ACCEPTANCE OF PRIZE

Entrants selected as winners must correctly complete a mathematical skill testing question and must sign a declaration confirming compliance with the rules and regulations and acceptance of the prize as awarded, and a release form acknowledging the non-responsibility of DISNEY XD, their affiliates and/or associates and their respective agents, employees and officers and directors with regard to any injury, accident, damage, claim, liability, loss or misfortune related to any aspects of the contest, prize, the acceptance, use, misuse, possession and delivery of the prize, printing errors, claims based upon publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy, prior to being awarded the Prize. If a winner is a minor, his/her parent or legal guardian must sign a declaration and release form on his/her behalf in order for the winner to claim his/her prize.

Selected entrants will be notified by telephone or e-mail within ten (10) days of the draw.  Selected entrants will then have ten (10) days following receipt thereof to contact DISNEY XD to claim their prize. Should DISNEY XD not receive confirmation within ten (10) days, or should a selected entrant be unable to correctly answer the skill-testing question or complete the declaration and release by the date specified, selected entrant will be deemed to have forfeited any rights to the prize and a back-up entrant will be selected in the same manner by random draw taken from the same pool of entries, in which event, the foregoing provisions of this sentence shall also apply to such other eligible entry.  All prize taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the winner. Limit one (1) prize per person or household.

The Sponsors will not be held responsible for the loss of prizes due to changes in mailing addresses, errors in completed entry forms or any other circumstances leading to an invalid, erroneous or incomplete mailing address or e-mail address.

DISNEY XD or its appointed designee shall deliver prizes to winners.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Prizes must be accepted as awarded and may not be exactly as shown.  DISNEY XD, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to substitute any portion of the Grand Prize Package or Secondary Prizes with a prize of equivalent or greater retail value.  Some restrictions may apply.  Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and have no cash value.

All entries become the property of DISNEY XD and will not be returned.

Each entrant agrees to waive all rights with respect to print and broadcast publicity. By entering the contest and accepting a prize, the winner or parent or legal guardian of the winner hereby consents to the reasonable use by DISNEY XD of the winner's photograph, voice, likeness and/or image, contents of the entry form and the name and age of the winner without any further compensation for any future promotional activity.  Each entrant consents and agrees to the Sponsors’ collection and use of the information provided by the entrant for the purpose of administering this Contest.  Each entrant agrees to be bound by these Contest Rules and Regulations.

The Sponsors are not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate entry of registration or entry information which may affect an entrants’ inability to get through on the internet during the promotion or ability to participate in the Contest, including but not limited to human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed/corrupted data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any telephone network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof, any inability to access the site, or damage to a user's system occasioned by participating in the Contest, and entries which fail to fully comply with these Contest Rules and Regulations. 

DISNEY XD reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, and to cancel, modify or suspend a contest for any reason, including without limitation in the event of any printing, administrative error, virus, bug, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond its control which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, DISNEY XD reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.  Entries are subject to verification and will be declared invalid if they are forged, falsified, altered or tampered with in any way. DISNEY XD and its sponsors are not responsible for preemption, cancellation, or interruption, in whole or in part, of any DISNEY XD contest related programming.
